Death Flags

- Any NPC or PC can die if fatal wound or hazard occurs
- No resurrection mechanic; death is final unless backup protocol exists

Permadeath Checkpoints

- Checkpoints must be declared manually or triggered at safe zones (e.g., bunks)
- Failing to set a checkpoint means true death
- Crew logs may automatically update last known location of PC

Recovery Scenes

- NPCs may find dying PCs if loyalty is high
- Some ship AI or modules (like Medbay or Droid Assistants) can stabilize if wired

Emotional Reactions

- Crew with Loyalist or Knight traits may grieve or vow revenge
- Seducer may enter trauma loop or rebind to another crew member
- Cowards may flee or self-sabotage under grief pressure

Failure Scenes

- Losing the PC can lead to:
  * Game over (solo mode)
  * Crew AI autonomy (if activated)
  * Control shift to a crew NPC

Revenge Option

- If a specific NPC caused the death, survivors may flag them as priority kill target
- Scene logic for revenge arcs triggered if Knight or Loyalist archetypes remain
